Thank you to everyone who supported and celebrated our parish's 100th Anniversary 1924-2024 on the Feast of Pentecost!

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church joyously celebrated its 100th anniversary on the Day of Pentecost, coinciding with the church's Patronal Feast Day. The celebrations began on Saturday evening with a Vigil, followed by a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday. His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, led the service, during which Fr. Martin, was awarded the Jeweled Cross. The service concluded with the Kneeling Vespers, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Pentecost.

At the conclusion of the service, Reader Fr. Nicholas Reeves was recognized with a Gramota for over 20 years of dedicated service as Choir Director. Additionally, Matushka Dennise Kraus received a Gramota for her many years of devoted service in parish ministry and her visionary leadership in the Blessed Mother Olga Women's Ministry for the Diocese. In recognition of its century-long service to the faithful in East Meadow, a Gramota was also awarded to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, celebrating its enduring legacy and contributions to the community.

Sunday evening's celebratory dinner at Stewart Manor Country Club in Garden City brought together parishioners, former parishioners, and friends to honor the century-long legacy of the church. The event was graced by the presence of past pastor, the Very Reverend Alexander Garklavs, his wife, Matushka Carol, and their son, Fr. Nicholas Garklavs, now rector of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Whitestone, NY.
